  이어지는 세션에는 남성욱 숙명여자대학교 석좌교수를 좌장으로 게오르크 슈미트 주한 독일 대사, 칼-울로프 안데르손 주한 스웨덴 대사, 바르토시 비시니에프스키 주한 폴란드 대사, 브라이언 마이어스 동서대학교 국제학과 교수, 김숙 전 주UN 대사, 김형석 전 통일부 차관이 참여합니다.

The Seoul Global City Diplomacy & Peace Forum will be held by the Seoul Metropolitan Government on Monday, September 21, 2026.

Under the theme “The Role and Vision of Seoul as the Capital of Peace on the Korean Peninsula in Its Journey toward Becoming a Global Top 3 (G3) City,” the forum will bring together diplomats and experts in international relations to discuss city diplomacy, peace on the Korean Peninsula, and Seoul’s global role.

International students interested in international relations, diplomacy, peace, and global affairs are warmly encouraged to participate.

■ Program & Speakers

  The opening ceremony will feature welcoming remarks by Oh Se-hoon, Mayor of Seoul, a keynote speech by Ban Ki-moon, the 8th Secretary-General of the United Nations, and congratulatory remarks by Lee Sung-bae, Vice Chairman of the Seoul Metropolitan Council.

  The forum session will be moderated by Nam Sung-wook, Chair Professor at Sookmyung Women’s University, with panelists including Georg Schmidt, Ambassador of Germany to the Republic of Korea; Karl-Olof Andersson, Ambassador of Sweden to the Republic of Korea; Bartosz Wiśniewski, Ambassador of Poland to the Republic of Korea; Brian Myers, Professor of International Studies at Dongseo University; Kim Sook, former Ambassador of the Republic of Korea to the United Nations; and Kim Hyung-seok, former Vice Minister of Unification.
