On March 17, 2026, Dr. Jaekeun Cho, Director of International Programs at Howads R. Hughes College of Engineering, University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV), visited Sungshin Women’s University to discuss potential academic exchange and collaborative programs between the two institutions.

The meeting was held at Soojung Campus and was attended by representatives from Sungshin Women’s University, including Mr. Il Kim, Team Head of the International Affairs and Services Team, along with two staff members from the team.

During the meeting, both sides engaged in constructive discussions on several areas of potential cooperation aimed at broadening international academic opportunities for students. The conversation focused on the possibility of developing international programs, which would offer students meaningful opportunities for academic enrichment and cross-cultural exchange through immersive international learning experiences.

In addition, the two institutions discussed the potential establishment of further scholarship program. This initiative was introduced as a possible avenue for students to gain hands-on research experience while strengthening their academic and professional competencies in a global educational environment. Both institutions expressed interest in exploring structured academic pathways that would allow students to benefit from the educational strengths and resources of both universities.

This visit provided a valuable opportunity for both institutions to deepen mutual understanding and identify promising areas for future cooperation.
