On April 9, 2026, a 1-day special lecture program was held for 14 senior students and 2 supervisors from the School of Science and Technology at Hong Kong Metropolitan University. The program aimed to provide students with an opportunity to visit labs, attend a special lecture, and experience Korean traditional culture.

The participating students, majoring in Environmental Science, Life Science, Food Science, and Inspection Science, had a chance to engage in hands-on learning. The program began with a lab demonstration at the Department of Chemistry and Energy Convergence in the College of Natural Sciences.

After a lunch break at the campus cafeteria, students attended a special lecture on synthetic biology by Professor Jaewon Lee from the School of Biopharmaceutical and Medical Sciences, College of Engineering. In the afternoon, they experienced a traditional Korean tea ceremony hosted by the Department of Consumer Science.

This program provided valuable academic and cultural exposure for the students from Hong Kong Metropolitan University, fostering greater understanding between the two countries. We look forward to offering more international exchange programs that continue to benefit our students with diverse learning opportunities.
