More than 3,000 Generation Z designers from universities around the world took part in this year’s event. Students from Sungshin Women’s University’s Department of Fashion Industry and the Korea–China Joint Fashion Design Program at Hebei University presented a total of 77 original garments under the theme “Rong Jie Feng He (融界风禾): Where Boundaries Dissolve and Flow, Green Ears of Grain Sway in the Wind.” The collection received enthusiastic praise from both industry professionals and visitors attending the event.
Acting President Wonho Lee of Sungshin Women’s University remarked, “Our collaboration has always been driven by a sincere commitment to providing students from both countries with meaningful opportunities to participate in a truly global runway experience, going beyond conventional academic exchange.” He added, “We will continue to provide comprehensive support so that global talents nurtured at Sungshin Women’s University can grow into creative professionals who lead the international market.”

To date, the Korea–China Joint Fashion Design Program operated by Sungshin Women’s University and Hebei University of Science and Technology has produced more than 1,300 graduates, including approximately 300 dual-degree recipients who are now active in the fashion industries of both Korea and China.
Among the program’s notable success stories is student Wang Yijie, who launched her own fashion label, “JAE WONG,” while still enrolled as an undergraduate student. Through the successful presentation of independent collections at both London Fashion Week and Beijing Fashion Week, she has demonstrated her potential as a next-generation global fashion designer.
Beyond fashion education, Sungshin Women’s University has expanded its Korea–China collaborative education initiatives into additional fields, including beauty and vocal performance. The University currently operates four Korea–China joint academic programs with a combined enrollment of up to 1,200 students, making it one of the largest international collaborative education models among Korean universities. Looking ahead, Sungshin Women’s University plans to further strengthen its position in the global education market by expanding its Korean- and English-medium interdisciplinary education system centered on the School of Global Studies and by continuing to cultivate globally competitive talent through innovative international education programs.
