On July 7 and 8, 2026, Sungshin Women’s University welcomed visiting students and representatives from educational institutions in Ecuador and Mexico to its Woonjung Green Campus for a series of academic, cultural, and campus experience programs.

The visits were organized as part of the students’ summer programs in Korea and aimed to introduce Sungshin Women’s University and its academic strengths while exploring opportunities for future educational cooperation and short-term study programs.

The participating institutions were Instituto Universitario Misael Acosta (ISTMAS) from Ecuador and Colegio de Ciencias y Letras de Tepic (CCLT) from Mexico.

On July 7, a delegation of 21 participants from Instituto Universitario Misael Acosta, a higher education institution based in Riobamba, Ecuador, visited Sungshin Women’s University. The program began with a campus tour, followed by an introduction to Sungshin Women’s University and its Beauty & Fashion Design program. Participants then took part in a discussion session where students and representatives exchanged ideas regarding academic opportunities and potential areas of future cooperation.

ISTMAS is a technical and vocational higher education institution established in 1994 and offers programs in fields including naturopathy, nursing, comprehensive aesthetics, and elderly care. Its academic strengths in health, wellness, and beauty-related fields provided a meaningful basis for discussions with Sungshin Women’s University regarding future academic engagement.

On July 8, 24 students and representatives from Colegio de Ciencias y Letras de Tepic (CCLT) in Mexico participated in a specialized K-Beauty program at Sungshin Women’s University. Following lunch on campus, the students attended a three-hour lecture and practical session titled “K-Image Making and K-Beauty Makeup,” led by professors from the Department of Beauty Industry. The program concluded with a campus tour, providing the visiting students with an opportunity to experience Sungshin’s educational environment firsthand.

CCLT is a private educational institution located in Tepic, Nayarit, Mexico, providing education from elementary through high school. The institution has been expanding international cultural experience programs for its students and has expressed interest in developing Korea-based programs in response to growing interest in Korean culture.

Discussions during the visit also highlighted the possibility of linking future programs with Sungshin Women’s University’s Korean language education, major-specific experiences, and short-term training programs.

Through the two visits, Sungshin Women’s University showcased its strengths in K-Beauty, fashion, and specialized academic programs, while providing students from Latin America with opportunities to learn more about studying in Korea and experiencing university life.

The programs also served as an opportunity to establish stronger connections with educational institutions in Ecuador and Mexico. Sungshin Women’s University plans to continue exploring opportunities for short-term study programs, Korean language education, academic exchanges, and other international cooperation initiatives, further expanding its engagement with students and institutions across Latin America.
