1. 해외교류 증가에 따른 홍역 환자 증가('22년 약 17만명 → '24년 약 36만명, '25.7월 세계보건기구(WHO) 기준), (국내) 해외유입으로 인한 홍역 환자 지속 발생('25.8.16. 기준 69명) 등

 

2. 협조 요청사항

가. 해외여행이나 방학 동안 본국 방문 후 발열·발진 등 있는 경우 홍역을 의심, 마스크 착용, 대중교통 및 집단 시설 이용 자제 후 의료기관에서 진료 받기

나. 홍역 의심환자로 분류 시 발진일로부터 4일까지 등교 중지

1. Global Situation: A sharp increase in measles cases due to rising international exchanges

Approx. 170,000 cases in 2022 → approx. 360,000 cases in 2024

As of July 2025 (WHO data), measles outbreaks continue worldwide

Domestic Situation: Ongoing imported cases of measles in Korea

As of August 16, 2025, 69 confirmed cases

 

2. Requests for Cooperation

a. If fever and rash occur after overseas travel or visiting one’s home country during vacation, suspect measles, wear a mask, refrain from using public transportation and crowded facilities, and seek medical care.

b. If classified as a suspected measles case, suspend school attendance until 4 days after the onset of rash.
