Academics
Department of Chinese Language, Literature and Culture was created in October 1981. In 1983 May, Sungshin Women's University established sisterhood with Tamkang University in Taiwan, and in same year June, founded a association. In July 1992, the university created Department of Chinese as a master's course in the Graduate School, and in July 1994, established sisterhood with Shandong University Weihai Campus and Beijing Normal University in China. Thus, Department of Chinese language and literature has made great strides for its student exchange activities at home and abroad and in-depth education. Furthermore, the department has implemented the student exchange and credit exchange with Tsinghua University, Beijing Normal university, Sun Yat-sen University, Shanghai Normal University, and Shanghai International Studies University in China, and Chinese Culture University in Taiwan. Starting in 2012, the department further diversified its international student exchange, implementing student and credit exchange with Shandong University, Jilin University, Shenzhen University, Dalian Minzu University, Harbin University of Science and Technology, Guangdong University of Foreign Studies, and Hebei University of Science and Technology, which is incorporated into the management by Office of International Exchange.
