The aim of Department of Dance Art in the College of Convergence Culture and Arts is to cultivate professionals in the field of ballet, Korean dance, dance sport, and pilates professionals prepared with both theory and practice through its convenrgence art education. In order to raise professionals for the 21st-centiry global culture & arts industry, the department focuses on pragmatic and qualitative education to ensure that these professionals can obtain employment and contribute to the rapidly changing contemporary society. Curriculum includes theory, practice, and internship specialized in different areas such as absolute choreographic arts (ballet, Korean dance), lifestyle dance (sports dance, aerobics dance), in which dance brings creative changes to ordinary people's lives, and pilates (posture correction, muscle strengthening, flexibility improvement, fitness & rehabilitation pilates), which raises people's quality of life with scientific moves. These curriculums give a competitive edge to students who wish to contribute to arts industry on the national level. Furthermore, the program is geared towards raising creative multitaskers through convergent education, which is the merit of College of Convergence Culture and Arts.
