- International Student Insurance

All international students who enter Sungshin Women's University are required to subscribe to National Health Insurance or International Student Insurance.
- 1.National Health Insurance
- -A foreigner who has lived 3 months or longer in the Rep. of Korea (a holder of alien registration card) and wants to apply for it.
- -The person is eligible for the same benefits as Korean nationals when visiting a hospital or a pharmacy.
- - To sign up: inquire National Health Insurance Service (1577-1000, http://www.nhic.or.kr )
- -Premium: paid monthly.
- 2.Group Insurance of International Students (available from a private insurance company)
- -To sign up: a student who has not signed up to the National Health Insurance MUST subscribe to Group Insurance for International Students; visit International Student Support Team to check the student's premium and pay it.
- -Premium: varies with gender, age, and subscription duration.
- -Submission Documents when Filing an Insurance Claim: passport, alien registration card, copy of bankbook, insurance claim filing form, hospital cost statements (receipt), first hospital visit records or doctor's note.
