Academics
Department of Social Studies Education aims to foster social studies teachers specifically for secondary schools. The social studies teacher candidates engage in learning knowledge in all the social sciences ranging from politics, economy, society, and culture, discusses the learned knowledge by linking it to the question of school education and the curricular issues, and analyzing and interpreting diverse-ranging empirical data. Through such educational training, the would-be teachers develop knowledge in school subjects and the curricular perspective that are required for desirable social studies class teaching, and cultivate the comprehensive, integral, and critical comprehension of social phenomena in general.
