Our graduate program works to implement beneficiary-oriented education and supports student research with diverse-ranging courses. By operating master's course, doctoral course, and integrated master-doctor course in humanities, natural science, arts & sports, multidisciplinary programs etc., the graduate program trains excellent masters and doctors in those different areas of study, thus contributing to the society and the nation.
Educational Goals of Departments
Upholding the torch for the Korean women's education with its founding motto of sincerity, seeking new knowledge and being able to act independently, Sungshin Educational Foundation was founded in 1936 by Dr. Lee Sook-Chong(penname Woonjung) and has grown into the cradle of women's education as it is today. Furthermore, the Graduate School, which was created in 1972 with the aim of fostering leaders equipped with specialist knowledge, sets its educational goals in 'cultivating creative and convergent knowledge skills', 'fostering global professionals with specialist qualifications', and 'linking education to the industry'.
Students Envisioned by Departments
The graduate program does its best to create and also teach new knowledge with the aim of adapting to the rapid change that the 21st century brings to the educational environment and meeting the diverse needs of the knowledge-based society. Thus, the program has decided 'focused nurturing of areas of specialization', 'acquisition of excellent research professionals', and 'realization of advanced convergent education' as its strategic direction and continues its utmost efforts to advance the education for fostering 'creative professionals (C&P)' with the aim of training talented people who meet the changing social needs.
