Sungshin Women’s University at 2025 Korea Study Abroad Fairs in Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan

From April 23 to 29, 2025, Sungshin Women’s University participated in the 2025 Korea Study Abroad Fairs held in Tashkent, Uzbekistan and Almaty, Kazakhstan. The University aimed to promote international student recruitment and strengthen academic cooperation with partner institutions.

The itinerary featured booth operations at the education fairs, meetings with local universities and study abroad agencies, and multiple presentations to prospective students and institutional partners.

In Uzbekistan, Sungshin operated a promotional booth at the Korea Education Center in Tashkent on April 25–26, engaging with 317 students and parents. Activities included a university presentation, an online briefing for Bukhara High School students, and an on-site seminar at School No. 255. In parallel, the team held partnership meetings with KIMYO International University and Baeksang Education Agency, discussing exchange programs, and short-term training opportunities in Korea.

In Kazakhstan, the University joined the fair at the Forum Mall in Almaty on April 27, where they conducted 113 face-to-face consultations and introduced academic programs, scholarships, and international admissions processes. 

On April 28, the team visited two universities (Kazakh National Women’s Teacher Training University and Al-Farabi Kazakh National University) for collaboration discussions on student exchange, short-term summer/winter programs, GKS programs, mutual exchange programs, etc. 

Additionally, four students from Kazakhstan have been invited to participate in the Asian Women’s Leadership Program, and two faculty members have been invited to join the K-Beauty Summer School. These participants are scheduled to take part in the respective programs during the upcoming summer Break.
