Sungshin Women's University Visits Osaka for International Student Recruitment

From May 22 to 25, 2025, Sungshin Women's University visited two vocational schools in Osaka, Japan, to conduct promotional activities and admission briefings aimed at expanding international student recruitment.

The delegation comprised four staff members, including Mr. Hyungmin Lee, Director of the Office of International Affairs, as well as representatives from the Institute for International Education and the International Affairs and Services Team.

On May 22, the delegation visited ECC KOKUSAI College of Foreign Languages, where they held a session for 10 second-year students aspiring to study at universities in Korea. The briefing provided detailed information on Sungshin’s Korean Language Program, International School of Korean Culture and Technology, scholarship opportunities, and student support services. An interview video featuring an ECC graduate who is currently enrolled at Sungshin was also presented.

On May 23, a similar session was held at Osaka College of Foreign Languages for 11 students. Discussions focused on short-term and regular study abroad programs, current trends in student transfers to Korean universities, and popular academic majors. The operation of the Korean Language Institute and short-term training programs was also discussed.

The team also visited Mainichi Education, a partner agency, to explore cooperation on self-funded study abroad programs and student exchanges. Measures to resume the summer training program, which had previously been suspended, were also considered.

With sustained demand for studying in Korea among Japanese students, Sungshin Women’s University plans to continue its strategic outreach and institutional support to further enhance international student recruitment.
