Kazakh Student and Teacher Visit Sungshin Women's University to Explore Study Opportunities in Korea

On June 17, 2025, a student and Korean language teacher from Kazakhstan visited Sungshin Women's University to participate in a campus tour and academic consultation for international students interested in studying in Korea.

The delegation included Choi Hyun-sil, Korean language instructor active in Kazakhstan since 2020; Aliya, a high school student who is planning to study abroad in Korea, who is currently residing in a dormitory in Almaty and expected to graduate in June 2026; and Park Sarang, Choi’s daughter, accompanying the group during her school break.

This visit followed an initial engagement at the Korea Study Abroad Fair in Kazakhstan held on April 27, 2025, where Sungshin Women's University participated. During the event, Aliya received a study consultation, which led to the planning of a follow-up visit to Korea during the summer vacation.

The university welcomed the group with guided tours of both Unjeong Green Campus and Soojung Campus. At Unjeong Green Campus, the visitors toured the Costume Museum and Natural History Museum, explored departmental facilities—including the Beauty Industry Department—and received detailed briefings on academic programs, admission requirements, and scholarship opportunities such as the Global Korea Scholarship (GKS).

At Soojung Campus, the group continued the campus tour and received additional guidance on the importance of the Test of Proficiency in Korean (TOPIK), with encouragement for future scholarship applications.

Sungshin Women’s University expressed its willingness to welcome future visits from students in Kazakhstan who show interest in Korean higher education.
