On August 11th, 2025 Sungshin Women’s University warmly welcomed a distinguished delegation from Van Lang Saigon College (Vietnam) at  Woonjeong Green Campus for the official signing ceremony of an Academic Cooperation Agreement between the two universities.

The visiting delegation included President Truong Van Hung, Vice President Tran Thanh Nhan and Deputy Director of the Institute of International Education Nguyen Thi Hong Ly.

Representing Sungshin were President Yi Seong Keun, Director of International Affairs Hyung Min Lee, Il Kim – Head of the International Affairs and Services team, and two staff members.

President Yi Seong Keun of Sungshin Women’s University expressed his intention to offer one scholarship opportunity to a Van Lang Saigon College student, on the condition that the selected student, upon graduation, would be connected to a Sungshin-affiliated company for employment. Van Lang Saigon College will recommend a qualified candidate for this opportunity.

In addition, Van Lang Saigon College extended an officially invitation to the President of Sungshin Women’s University to attend the 5th Anniversary Celebration of its founding, to be held in December 2025.

Following the signing, the delegation participated in a campus tour, visiting the Traditional Costume Museum, Art Gallery, and Department of Beauty Industry. Vice President Tran Thanh Nhan, who also serves as the Dean of the Beauty Department at Van Lang, expressed strong interest in Sungshin’s Department of Beauty Industry after the tour, stating a desire to explore future collaboration specifically in this field.

This MOU marks a meaningful step toward expanding international education cooperation between Korea and Vietnam and fostering future-ready global talent.
