Sungshin Women’s University successfully hosted the farewell party ‘Time to Say Goodbye’ on June 20 to mark the conclusion of this year’s spring semester for international students.

Held from 5:00 PM to 8:30 PM at Suharu on the 5th floor of Sungshin Hall (Soojung Campus), the event welcomed 71 participants, including undergraduate and graduate students preparing to graduate, students concluding their exchange programs, and Korean and participants in the Global Friends Program (buddy, tutoring, and major mentoring activities).

The farewell event was organized to celebrate the achievements of international students who completed their studies during the semester and to reflect on the meaningful time spent together. The program especially highlighted the success of the Global Friends initiative through an awards ceremony and a presentation of outstanding participation cases, making it a valuable opportunity to promote communication and exchange between Korean and international students.

Jointly hosted by the Sungshin International Student Association (SISA) and the International Exchange Support Team, the event was held in two parts. The first part began with a video recap of the 2nd SISA cohort’s activities, followed by a presentation of international students’ academic achievements and an awards ceremony recognizing outstanding participants in the Global Friends program—receiving enthusiastic responses from attendees.

In the second part of the event, interactive games such as ‘Golden Bell Challenge’ and ‘Charades’ brought laughter and engagement. Participants also enjoyed a dinner and various hands-on programs offering a taste of Korean traditional culture, including a ‘mother-of-pearl bookmark-making experience’ and ‘writing a letter to my future self’. The event concluded with the final awards ceremony and a group photo, leaving attendees with lasting memories.
