Central Library was built when Sungshin was established university in 1965 and has since served as the center of study and research for the Sungshin community. The library collection includes 910,000 books in wide-ranging areas of study, various academic journals, newspapers and magazines, scholarly information databases, and electronic journals that cover East and West. Furthermore, the library has maximized the efficiency in its operations such as user-friendly book check-out and return, book management, and search by introducing the web-based electronic library solution.

Moreover, the library has built a scholarly information network with libraries and information providers at home and abroad to promptly deliver latest information. Central Library with total floor space of about 9.240㎡ at Soojung Campus has reading rooms with 1,800 seats, Woonjung Library, Humanities Reference Room, History & Arts Reference Room, Social Sciences Reference Room, Natural Science Room, and Electronic Data Room among others. In addition, Sungshin Hall has installed Periodicals and Literature to ensure efficiency in research and study activities for Sungshin community.
