1. Alien Registration

• 1.Eligibility: foreigner who sojourns 91 days or longer in the Republic of Korea.
• 2.Application Period: within 90 days from a person's entry in the country.
• 3.Submission Documents: application, copy of passport, copy of visa, 1 color photo (3.5㎝ x 4.5㎝), fee of 30,000 won, enrollment certificate or tuition payment proof, sojourner's abode proof, medical certificate (for tuberculosis)

2. Reissuance of Alien Registration Card

• 1.Eligibility: a person who has lost or damaged his or her Alien Registration Card or writing space is used up on the current card.
• 2.Submission Documents: application, copy of passport, copy of visa, 1 color photo (3.5㎝ x 4.5㎝), fee of 30,000 won, state of reason for application

3. Filing Changes to Alien Registration or Sojourner's Abode

• 1.Eligibility: when a foreigner who has completed his or her alien registration incurs any of the causes below, he or she must file changes with alien registration at the relevant Immigration Office within 14 days from the occurrence of such causes.
• 2.Causes of Filing
  • -Change to the person's name, gender, date of birth, or nationality.
  • -Change to affiliated organization or group.
  • -Change to the address shown on Alien Registration Card (which may be filed at the relevant district office).
• 3.Submission Documents: Alien Registration Change Application, passport and alien registration card, proof of the changes.
